One Day While Studying A Yeats Poem I Decided To Write Poetry The Rest Of My Life. I Recognized That A Single Short Poem Has Room For History, Music, Psychology, Religious Thought, Mood, Occult Speculation, Character, And Events Of One's Own Life. I Still Feel Surprised That Such Various Substances Can Find Shelter And Nourishment In A Poem. A Poem In Fact May Be A Sort Of Nourishing Liquid, Such As One Uses To Keep An Amoeba Alive. If Prepared Right, A Poem Can Keep An Image Or A Thought Or Insights On History Or The Psyche Alive For Years, As Well As Our Desires And Airy Impulses.
If You Look At The Game And Everything, It's Not Quite Like Looking At An Animated Film, Because That's Total Character. This, This Is Really Movement, But It's Got Funny Little Things If You Look For The Humor. They're Actually Getting To The Character.
Basically The Children Who Watch It Just See The Little Characters They Love, And So They're Not Discerning About Whether It Looks Great Or It's A Great Story Or Anything.
I Love Character Roles. I'm Happier In Them. I Look For Roles That Have Some Kind Of Complexity.
I Think A Shot Can Actually Influence A Scene In A Huge Way. For Example, Comedy Is Always Better In A Two-shot. What's Between The Characters Is What's Funny. So You Learn About These Things As You Go Along.
I Think I'm Drawn To Characters With Complexity Or Who Are Under Duress In Some Way And Have Some Conflict Going On.
I Always Think That The Most Interesting Characters Are Those That Are Trying To Cover Something Or Those That Have Some Sense Of Bravado Or Composure.
If You're Very Open To Watching The World Go By, With People's Different Tics, You Absorb It All Without Realizing It And Find Ways To Put Something Into Your Character. I'm Not Sure I'm Always Aware I'm Mimicking Someone.
My Objective Is That I Don't Try To Do The Same Thing. I Try Not To Emulate Something I've Done Before. And, I'm A Real People Watcher, So I Like Trying To Play Characters That Are As Diverse From Each Other As Possible, Simply Because It's More Fun For Me, Actually.
The Parent Reads The Book. The Kid Reads The Book And Then They Can Talk About The Characters Instead Of Talking About Themselves. You Know There's A Connection Even If You Don't Talk About It When You Read The Same Books.
